The Global Age-Friendly Design Awards (GADA) 2010 is back to draw more participants.

The competition, organised by >60 Design Centre Singapore’s National Design Centre for Ageing, hopes to attract and motivate designers who have a passion for designing products that cater to the lifestyle of senior citizens.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Redefining Age” and the organiser hopes to bring in an element of business strategy into the competition.

“GADA 2010 is an opportunity for all designers, professionals or students, to submit their ideas on products that can enhance and change the lifestyles of the elderly,” said Mr. Moses Wong, Director of >60 Design Centre at Temasek Polytechnic.

“We are also hoping that winning ideas can be adopted by corporations and be developed into products that can be of use to people across the globe.”

Deadline for submissions is September 26, 2010.
