French Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010 by Jacques Ferrier Architectures
Drawing on classic French style, Jacques Ferrier Architectures designed the gorgeous French Pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo, which welcomes visitors inside a green-walled “Sensual City”. Dezeen recently showcased a set of photos of the recently completed pavilion, which is covered in a concrete trellis-like structure and decorated with manicured French gardens, a green roof, ponds, and water fountains. Solar Shanghai Pavilion Nears Completion

Israel Pavillion at Shanghai Expo 2010 part two
24 meters in height, the 1200 square meter pavilion is built on a 2000 square meter site and its construction is nearing completion. The structure consists of two architectural curvilinear forms which hug each other like two hands or two shells, symbolizing a quiet conversation between man and earth, man and man, nation and nation. The pavilion continuously transforms as the light changes during the day and night. The two hands / shells present the dialogue between man and nature, past and future, temporality and eternity, earth and sky, substance and the virtual. Israel Pavillion at Shanghai Expo 2010
The pavilion consists of three areas — Whispering Garden, Hall of Light and Hall of Innovations. The Whispering Garden is a green orchard that greets visitors as they enter the building. Some facilities will be installed to make the trees begin to “whisper” in both English and Chinese when visitors walk close to them, Haim Z.
